We're so excited that he's reached this milestone, but it's terrifying to see just how quickly our baby is growing up.

Where'd That Come From??
Thursday, June 10, 2010
Nate had a rough night. Apparently I've been feeding him too many bananas & we ran into digestion issues. I was assuming that last night's fussiness was because of his tummy problems, until we were face to face on the play mat this morning. Lo and behold, there's ANOTHER tooth poking up right next to the first one! And gee whiz, those suckers are sharp! Nate's still chewing on my fingers and giving me "kisses" on the chin and I felt both of those tiny teeth every time!
On the Move

We took our first trip to Grandmommy's house this weekend and had a blast hanging out! Nate drooled all over her carpet, which is better than the first time we took Stitch - he chewed her baseboards. Nate may decide to do that too, though, so the verdict is still out on which is the better houseguest.
While we were there we went shopping at Tanger to raid the Carter's outlet store and also went to Ikea. I saw a ton of very cute stuff that may soon end up at Grandmommy's house. Mom and Ron babysat for us so Sandy & I could have dinner. Nate still doesn't like to be left with other people and screamed from the time we left the house until we got back two hours later. Poor Mom. I'm hoping he grows out of that pretty quickly because she also got an extended earful when she babysat for us last month.
Anyway, Nate was chewing on Sandy's hand Saturday when Sandy felt a lump in his mouth. He passed him along to me & I also felt the lump on the bottom gums. Since we were at Mom's & she has a lot more tooth experience than we do, we got her to confirm the lump as well. Nate is getting a tooth!
In the past couple of days the tooth has just barely broken through the surface, but is now visible. Nate was a little fussy the day it came through, but no major issues.
His toothless grin is adorable & I can't wait to see what it looks like with one little tooth poking up! Pics to come when it's big enough to capture on camera. ;)

I Just Have to Brag
I know that by putting this out on the Internet, I'm tempting fate & most likely ensuring that it'll never, ever happen again. But I still have to brag because it's just that amazing & wonderful & fantastic!
Nathan went to bed at 7:00 last night, woke up to eat at 1:30, got up to say bye to Daddy at 6:00, then took a two hour morning nap.
My child slept for six and a half consecutive hours!! Followed by four and half consecutive hours. This worthy of major celebration!
I don't know if it'll ever happen again, but I'm so excited that it happened once! Yay!!!

Baptism
Everyone came into town to attend and celebrate Nate's baptism at church on Sunday, May 16.

Cathrein handmade an outfit for him to wear during the service. I was stopped by three different people who asked where I got it! She's so talented! We're trying to get her to open her very own Etsy store! I know I'll pull this out of a drawer when he's 30 and think back on this day and remember how tiny he once was.

After the church service we had a cookout at the house. Mom bought us a grill for my birthday, so Sandy got to play grillmaster and cook up some burgers for everyone.
Meme & Poppy came!
Grandmommy came!
MeMa came!
Grammy came!
Aunt Kathy came, but she was taking all the pictures so we don't have any of her and Nate together. :(
Chase & Amanda came! This was the first time Nate had met Amanda!
We had such a great time hanging out and I'm so glad we got to see everyone again!
