Nate has been getting quite brave in the last two weeks. He learned he can walk around holding on with just one hand, then that he could walk just touching with one hand instead of grasping. Over the weekend he started a controlled fall toward his destination, letting go with both hands and leaning/falling until he could reach and steady himself. He's gotten so good at standing by himself (something he only started doing week before last) that he pops up from a sitting position and looks like he's doing squats or a suicide drill.
Monday he accidentially took two little steps during one of his controlled falls and has been taking tiny little steps to steady himself while standing. This morning we were playing and I coaxed him to take three unsteady steps by holding his train just out of reach!
In less than a year my sweet baby went from floppy adorable baby milk comas to a walking and talking little man! Another few weeks and I suspect he'll be running, with Mama dashing right behind!
Officially a Toddler!
