All Done!

Sandy and I headed over to Toomer’s Coffee Co. in Auburn this afternoon for a change of scenery, some java, and some serious blog work.  This was our first trip to this particular coffee shop.  Sandy found the owner on Twitter and became an instant fan – the owner is also a guy named Sandy!

So after a tall mint mocha and three hours, the new design for this blog is complete!  I found the picture and decided to use it as the basis for the design.  Sandy’s had fun walking me through Photoshop, CSS, and Word Press, and I’ve enjoyed playing around with the code and design.  I did a little bit of web coding for the Servant Leadership program in college, but it’s been a long time!

Sandy’s still tweaking his page, but both of our belly’s are starting to grumble. Off to Chappy’s for dinner!  It’s the best restaurant in Auburn.

Sandy's working on his web page.

For You, Lora

Lora’s been pestering me (in the most endearing way) to start blogging.  Since she started her own, she thinks everyone else should be, too.  I cave easily to peer pressure (and it sounded like fun), so here we are!  This will primarily be my blog – a way to let everyone know what we’re up to and what’s going on in our lives.  Sandy has reincarnated his site, too, and plans to use it as a tech blog.

You’ll see the format and layout of this site change over the next few weeks.  This is currently the default template.  I’ve been browsing to find some others I like, but since I’m difficult, I can’t pick just one.  I want the layout from one, the images from another, and the color scheme from a third.

Sandy promises to teach me to post pictures this weekend, so images of the backyard in progress are coming soon.
